Being SOMEONE!

With my today's blog I will bring in thoughts of 2 kinds of people;
1. Who extremely agree with what's been said &
2. Who will absolutely disagree and might as well want to knock me down :P
Never mind, Like I have my say you have yours, feel free ;)

Couple of days ago, I met my 'full of life' friends as everyone is grown up (you know how it is) and spent time like the early days where we used to discuss just about everything (movies, food, boyfriends, future plans..blah blah). Friends are one's confidants, partners in crime, playmates, stress busters and so much more. It feels so relaxed, absolutely inhibited, crazy when these insane creatures are around. I truly believe that the time spent with your friends is no regrets :)

Yes, so while all this was being experienced we observed something so striking which ultimately lead to the hot topic of that evening and trust me it lasted forever. A bunch of teenagers stepped out of their regular coaching classes on that evening wearing trendy clothes and accessories, expensive watches, shoes, their natural beauty exposed to tonnes of artificial makeup and the strangest of all they carried just one book in hand. As soon as these tiny souls got freedom from the boring lectures they looked at each other with glorious smiles on their faces and planned the remaining day, which was indeed exciting to watch. This is how plans with your fellows should be, spontaneous :)

All of the above made us think of the past, our college days except for the fact that we did not put on unnecessary stuff and that we carried more than one book :p. But there was one thing so bizarre and got our minds stuck at one place; was that we could not make out who was who as all looked and sounded precisely the same. The way they dressed, the speech, gestures; ALL! Today's generation (not that I belong to 1970s, I mean the newbies) is not a trend setter but simply mindless followers. Everyone wants to win an aimless race. They all want to be public figures but what these little ones fail to comprehend is, to be a public figure you need to be different, do different. However, I don't blame them at all as for a fact I know they are striving hard to be someone else!

We have forgotten that we were made differently and are suppose to stay unique. We have lost our individuality in this materialistic atmosphere and moreover force ourselves to adapt things which are not necessarily meant for us. I feel that we have stopped caring for our own selves as we only care to be like someone else! Why are we trying so hard to fit in, when we are born to stand out! I'll just limit by saying. "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken!' High 5 :)
